What's New at IAFF 2441
Happy New Year

Posted On: Jan 02, 2010 (11:11:03)

The Tahoe Douglas Firefighters Association wishes everyone a happy and healthy new year.

The Executive Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Brandon Brady to the negotiations team.  Brother Jim Hardison stepped down which left a vacancy on the five-member team and it was good to see several interested parties.  After extensive discussion, Brandon was chosen to finish the term which will expire at the December elections.

Congratulations also to Brother Ralph Jones for his election as the chair of the negotiaions team; we know he will do well and welcome him as a member of the Executive Board.

One more congratulations to Todd Moss for his election as the chair of the Health and Safety Committee.  As such, he also becomes one of the five-member Executive Board.  Press on Brother Moss for the health and well being of the membership and thanks for your work.

Saying Goodbye!

Updated On: Nov 03, 2009 (20:35:00)

It is with mixed emotions that Tahoe Douglas says goodbye to two long-time members.  Captain Gordon Paul and Engineer Mike Hastie officially retired at the end of October.  With over fifty years collectively, our department feels a loss since experience like that is valuable and difficult to replace.  We celebrate with them and hope for many long and enjoyable years in retirement.

We will miss you -- Thanks for the ride!

2009 Fire Season Comes To A Close

Updated On: Oct 21, 2009 (22:00:00)

Tahoe Douglas answers the call!

Despite a relatively quiet fire season, Tahoe Douglas was proud to serve by responding when called.  We look forward to a safe winter and await the chance to serve wherever called next fire season.
