Saying Goodbye!
Updated
On: May 08, 2010 (22:51:00)
Saying Goodbye As time marches on, we continue to see our members make the scary yet exciting transition into retirement. Tonight we celebrated an unprecedented nine members and their combined 250+ years of service. It was an exceptional time with over 200 people in attendance. After dinner, there was time for each of them to get up and say a few words about their time at Tahoe Douglas. Members that we celebrated were: Rick Nicholson Dennis McLaughlin Terry Hughes Gordon Paul Scott Stice Mike Hastie Larry Schussel Glen Sanders Jon Hayes It was a memorable time for everyone and each of these guys is certain to look back on their career at Tahoe Douglas Fire with good memories and a sense of accomplishment. Gentlemen, THANKS FOR THE RIDE!

Happy New Year
Updated
On: May 08, 2010 (22:52:00)
The Tahoe Douglas Firefighters Association wishes everyone a happy and healthy new year. The Executive Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Brandon Brady to the negotiations team. Brother Jim Hardison stepped down which left a vacancy on the five-member team and it was good to see several interested parties. After extensive discussion, Brandon was chosen to finish the term which will expire at the December elections. Congratulations also to Brother Ralph Jones for his election as the chair of the negotiaions team; we know he will do well and welcome him as a member of the Executive Board. One more congratulations to Todd Moss for his election as the chair of the Health and Safety Committee. As such, he also becomes one of the five-member Executive Board. Press on Brother Moss for the health and well being of the membership and thanks for your work.
